My much-loved Boardman URB 8.6 Urban Hybrid Bike was stolen recently. It’s a striking bike, primarily a vibrant teal/turquoise colour with noticeable lime green accents on the frame. It’s a hybrid, perfect for both city commutes and light trail riding, and was in excellent condition.
Key Features & Identifiers:
- Make/Model: Boardman URB 8.6 Urban Hybrid Bike
- Colour: Predominantly teal/turquoise with lime green details.
- Suspension: It features a rigid fork (no front suspension) which contributes to its light weight and efficient power transfer, ideal for urban environments.
- Gears: Equipped with a Shimano Altus 1×9 speed drivetrain, it offers a wide range of gears suitable for varied terrain, controlled by a single shifter on the right handlebar.
- Brakes: Hydraulic disc brakes, providing reliable stopping power in all weather conditions.
- Wheels/Tyres: 700c wheels fitted with grippy, puncture-resistant tyres that are slightly wider than typical road bike tyres.
- Unique Features/Distinguishing Marks: At the time of theft, it had a silver bell on the left handlebar and a black bottle cage on the downtube. The saddle is a standard Boardman black saddle. It also had black mudguards installed. The bike helmet, pictured, was usually attached to the bike but may or may not have been with it when stolen.
Any information leading to its recovery would be hugely appreciated.
