Why We Built the Stolen Bike Register

When a bike is stolen, the owner feels helpless, and the chances of recovery are slim. Existing solutions, like police databases, only log a bike's serial number without proactively showing stolen bikes or encouraging community reporting. They're a record, not a solution.

Our goal

Create a Two-sided Solution to Help Bike Owners and Secondhand Bike Buyers.

Our solution enables owners to list their stolen bike with details and photos to make it instantly visible, with the option to offer a reward for successful discovery and recovery. At the same time, conscientious buyers can quickly check if a secondhand bike is stolen before they purchase it.

In the UK alone there is a £2.4 Billion Theft Problem Plaguing Cyclists

70% of riders have fallen victim to theft, according to new research from Novuna Personal Finance. With over 5.6 million cyclists nationwide and the average stolen bike valued at £612.80, the total estimated cost of bike theft has skyrocketed to £2.4 billion.
