Accessibility Statement

Home Accessibility

Effective Date: 20/09/2025

Our Commitment

We are committed to making our website accessible and usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to ensure our content, tools, and services are easy to perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with by as many people as possible.

Standards and Tools

We have implemented features and tools designed to improve accessibility, including:

  • Use of an accessibility toolbar with adjustments for text size, contrast, font styles, cursor size, spacing, and visibility.
  • Multiple display/profile modes (e.g. vision-impaired, ADHD-friendly, etc.) to suit different user needs.
  • Keyboard‑navigation support (allowing users to operate certain functions without a mouse).
  • Tools for reading aid (such as text readout / text-to-speech) in multiple languages, where enabled.

These align with recognised guidelines such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and applicable accessibility laws (e.g. European Accessibility Act, etc.), though full compliance in all respects cannot always be guaranteed.

Limitations & Ongoing Efforts

While we aim for our site to be as accessible as possible, there are some limitations:

  • Some content is provided by third parties or uses technology or formats that may not be fully accessible.
  • Some pages or elements (images, files, embedded content, etc.) may not yet have full alternative text, accessible captions, or may present layout or contrast issues.

The effectiveness of some accessibility features depends on the device, browser, operating system, or assistive technologies being used. We continually work to identify, fix, and improve areas that do not meet best accessibility practices.

Feedback and Suggestions

We welcome feedback about how we can improve the accessibility of StolenBikeRegister.com. If you encounter any issues or barriers — or have suggestions — please contact us. We aim to respond within 3‑5 business days. Where possible, we will provide information in alternate formats upon request.

Technical Specifications & Compatibility

The accessibility toolbar has options for display and reading adjustments that function in modern browsers on both desktop and mobile devices. We tested for compatibility with major browsers and screen readers where possible, but some combinations of browser + assistive technology may have issues.

Legal & Compliance Notes

While we use recognised tools and follow international standards, using the toolbar or any accessibility feature does not guarantee full compliance or error‑free access for every user.

Neither our tools nor this site function as a substitute for professional advice in cases where accessibility is required by law; users with legal concerns should consult relevant accessibility laws in their country.

Review & Updates

We regularly review our accessibility practices and this statement. This includes updates to the toolbar features, site design, content, and user feedback. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects when this statement was last amended.
