Welcome to StolenBikeRegister.com (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website and services, including submitting reports of lost or stolen property, checking items, or using tools like TraceLock, you agree to the terms of this Disclaimer. If you don’t agree, please do not use our services. TraceLock subscriptions are non-refundable. No partial refunds are issued if your bike is found or if you cancel before your subscription ends, regardless of the reason.
We operate as a community‑driven registry of lost, missing, or stolen property. Users voluntarily submit information. We do our best to provide accurate and timely data, but we cannot guarantee that any entry or report is complete, up to date, error‑free, or correct.
Use of identifying information (serial numbers, photos, descriptions, etc.) is provided as submitted by users. We do not independently verify all claims, reports, or identifications.
When you check an item via our website (e.g. by serial number, VIN, IMEI, or other identifier), we do not guarantee that the item is not stolen. The absence of a report in our database does not mean the item is lawful or has never been stolen.
Likewise, a matching entry in our registry does not categorically prove that any specific item is stolen; there may be errors, mis‑reports, or other discrepancies.
We strongly recommend that you use additional resources (other registries, proof of purchase, police records, etc.) before concluding that an item is or is not stolen.
TraceLock may produce limited or no match alerts during your subscription period. The number and frequency of alerts depends on many factors outside our control, including whether your stolen bike is listed for sale online, marketplace data availability, the accuracy of your bike description, and listing patterns. If your bike isn’t being sold online, or if it’s listed with altered details or photos, TraceLock may not generate matches.
If your property is stolen, registering it with us or using services like TraceLock may help in locating it. However, we do not guarantee that any item will be found or recovered.
Any rewards or offers posted by owners are under their sole responsibility; we do not act as an intermediary beyond providing the platform.
Our AI‑powered service TraceLock, which scans second‑hand / resale marketplaces to identify possible matches to your stolen property, is offered “as is.” While it can be a helpful tool, it comes with limitations:
It depends on data available publicly on third‑party marketplaces. If a listing is hidden, incomplete or falsified, TraceLock may miss it or generate false positives.
Matching is not infallible. Identifiers may be altered, altered photos, removed serial numbers, etc., so there is a risk of mistaken matches.
Use of TraceLock does not guarantee recovery, identification, or safe return of property.
By using our site or services to attempt recovery, to meet with someone in person (e.g. a seller, a person claiming to have your property, or otherwise), or to take any action based on information from our registry or TraceLock, you accept all risk.
We do not accept liability for any harm, injury, loss, damage, or costs arising from actions you take based on the information on this site or via TraceLock. This includes (but is not limited to):
We are not law enforcement. We provide information and tools for public use. If your bike is stolen you should report it to the police or appropriate authorities.
